About BASP

Is this really what the snow fields in Scotland are like?

Last season was bad enough and we thought they couldn’t get much worse; well I have to eat my words. I’ve been at the Lecht for 30 yrs and never had such an unpredictable season. Getting full on storm at the beginning of the week and come Saturday your scrimping for snow with half the runs closed. It was either that or full storm over the weekend.

The positive this year was the installation of our Magic Carpet tow, which was a huge success with our beginners. No problem with people falling off, and no safety issues.

Because of the popularity and safe aspect of the carpet we will be installing more of these but that will have to wait for a good season. THIS WILL HAPPEN AGAIN global warming doesn’t happen this quick or we,ll all be dead in 3 years.
We have to think positive THINK SNOW
