The content can include: the aims & principles of first aid, safety, basic life support (BLS) and CPR in an easy and logical manner. The day is interspersed with indoor and outdoor practical sessions. The course will include accident procedure, infection avoidance, dealing with an unconscious casualty, AED, wounds and bleeding, shock, choking, medical emergencies, burns, injuries often found in the outdoor environment, tick borne infection, and drowning.
Subjects relevant to your individual need can be added on request.
Candidates are issued with a certificate of attendance following the course.
Pre-Requisites
We train candidates to be safe, confident responders - No previous first aid experience is required.
Suitable for
Outdoor enthusiasts who just want a short practical first aid course (without the Emergency First Aid at Work certification/assessemnt or a full 2 days training).
Certificate valid
All candidates are issued with a certificate of attendance valid for 3 years. You can revalidate this qualification by repeating the course.
